Extraordinary Tramp Art mirror from the late 19th century around 1890. Beautifully crafted out of hand carved basswood elements, this fantastic Tramp Art work out of Austria was done in the so called "pyramid technique". This impressive designed frame with four exposed large pyramid corners is additionally adorned by eight extraordinary applications made of young spruce branches. The unique crafted parts build an artfully looking pattern and add this mirror a very charming appearance. During the restoration process we tried to keep the awesome look of this rural wall mirror as best as we can and sealed the dark brown almost black surface with a nice satin vanish finish. Also the mirror plate has been renewed. For sure one of the most interesting Tramp Art mirrors we have since in a long time. A true gem in our Tramp Art collection that seeks for its equal.
