Description
A very charming set of six French dining chairs from the Directoire period. The frames are solid bleached beechwood nicely patinated with pegged mortise & tenon joinery. Scrolled square and nicely tapered backs with carved rosettes above pierced splats ending in rosettes on the front legs. Wearing old, worn upholstery with nailhead trim. These dining chairs are very sturdy and suitable for everyday use.
