Description
A fine period Gustavian sofa, hand-scraped to the original paint, and newly upholstered with nail head trim, circa 1780. Rosettes on the leg posts with tapered and fluted legs. Signed twice ‘ILG’ by master chair maker, Johan Lindgren, Stockholm 1770-1800. On the frame is the Stockholm Chairmaker’s Guild paper seal.
