Description
Early 19th century Gustavian stools featuring tapered, fluted legs with carved detail at the upper collar and rosette motifs set into the frame corners. The square seat frame supports an exposed original webbing and upholstery foundation. The painted surface displays original white pigment showing extensive wear showing great patination. ca 1800 Sweden.

Condition: Original and structurally sound. The wood frame exhibits age and use-related surface abrasions, paint loss, and patina. The upholstery consists of raw hessian webbing and foundation material with fraying along the edges consistent with age and an uncovered state. -
