Aage Sattrup, Danish Mid-Century Modern, Beech, Beige Fabric, Rare Floating Sofa, Denmark, 1950s
Very rare sofa designed by Aage Sattrup and manufactured by Sattrups Polstermøbelfabrik in Aarhus, Denmark c. 1953. This example features a unique frame having a slightly tilted backrest suspended from the beech supports on it's backside, giving the sofa a wonderful floating appearance. The front two legs have patinated brass caps. Newly upholstered in a textured beige tweed fabric.
