Description
This set of six chairs, is the version with black leather upholstery to the seat and armrests, paired with frames in black-stained ash. Designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa in 1986, the Miss chair treats structure as drawing: a continuous system of soft, rhythmic lines that becomes support without sharp transitions. Slender, splayed legs give the form its stability, while the front legs rise in a single sweep—curving into the armrests and continuing seamlessly into the back. The rear legs brace the composition, pressing upward into the backrest like quiet buttresses. The seat is not added on top but integrated into this linear choreography, locking the frame’s arcs and struts into a single, cohesive silhouette. The Set is in good condition with only little marks of use. In the last two images, the chairs are shown with a table by Carlo Scarpa from another listing.
