A unique 1960s brutalist high back side or accent chair in hand wrought iron and patinated cognac leather upholstery. Europe, mid 20th century.

Truly a magnificent and unique artist's piece, this is. Boosting distinct castle vibes with a strong mid century appearance. Appears strict and heavy, but when viewed closely the design shows to be elegant and curved all over. A sculptural piece featuring high artisanal quality. Interesting details all over, from the joints to the pointy finials on top, the sculpturally flared legs and the way the leather is attached to the heavy frame.

Beautifully constructed with a - very heavy - wrought iron frame and upholstered with thick cognac leather which gained a wonderful patina over time.
