A Rare Pair of Original Italian Mid-Century Modern "Lady" Chairs / Lounge Chairs / Armchairs by Marco Zanuso for Arflex, Italy, circa 1951 with original upholstery.
The chairs are set upon a set on boldly angled and tapered solid brass legs. The overall form is low, sensuous and organic modern; and these chairs are a visual treat, as well as being very comfortable.
Marco Zanuso was one of the leaders of the Italian post-war design movement that thrust Italy as the leader 20th Century design in furniture and fashion.
