Arform was a historic Italian company and shop founded in 1955 by the designer Paolo Tilche, which produced furniture and design objects.
Initially located on via Turati, it later moved to via della Moscova in the center of Milan. In 1955 Arform was awarded the 'Compasso d'Oro'. Initially, in the wake of the Italian economic boom of the 1960s, Arform sold furniture of all kinds. Later on the gallery was focussed on the sale of objects, designed by Paolo Tilche himself and by the most important designers of the moment. Since 2002, following the death of Paolo Tilche, the management of the shop passed to his son Luca Tilche. The shop in via della Moscova in Milan was closed in 2020.
The chairs were designed in the late 1960s and soon became an Arform bestseller, throughout the 1970s.
