Description
This is an amazing pair of custom mulberry leather egg chairs with matching ottomans designed by Arne Jacobsen and manufactured by Fritz Hansen. These original egg chairs and ottomans are covered in vintage mulberry leather. They have the Fritz Hansen logo original label. Both the chairs and the ottomans are in great condition with light original vintage patina. They are soft and comfortable and swivel freely. In 1958, Arne Jacobsen designed the egg chair for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. The egg chair is still in production, but sadly the original design of the chair base has been extensively altered and no longer is a solid cast piece that is a match to it’s ottoman.
