Description
One of the leading lights of the Scandinavian modernist movement, Swedish-born (1917) Arne Norell preferred using traditional materials to create unexpected furniture forms. His Møbel AB Arne Norell company began in the Swedish countryside in 1958. The "Sirocco" armchair designed in 1964 is loosely based on the safari tradition started by Kaare Klint in 1933 and is lightweight, collapsible, and held together by leather support straps. This version is medium brown leather over an ash wood frame. Sweden. Condition: see images for discoloration to leather. Classic and timeless.
