Description
This rare Kosmos lounge chair was designed by Augusto Bozzi and manufactured by Saporiti, Italy in the mid 1950s. The chair retains its original manufacturer’s label, Fratelli Saporiti, Besnate.
The design is marked by its striking sculptural frame in black lacquered metal with elegant brass feet. The rounded silhouette and generous depth and width of the shell make this a particularly comfortable lounge chair. Due to the sculptural wire frame and dynamic proportions, the chair presents beautifully from every angle, giving it a strong architectural presence even when not in use.
The chair is upholstered in a high-quality ivory/light beige chenille fabric with a soft, velvety touch. The frame is in very good condition with only minor wear consistent with age.
