Description
A very rare armchair by Swedish curator, photographer, architect and painter Axel Nilsson (1872 - 1924). It is made of sculpted and stained pine with a webbing of anthracite canvas strips, with an anthracite wool flanel cushion. The chair was professionally reupholstered, based on the original condition, in our in-house atelier.
The chair was designed in 1916 for the Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg, where Nilsson was the first curator. -
