Description
Børge Mogensen was one of the most influential figures in Danish modern design and a leading representative of the Scandinavian design movement. Trained as both a cabinetmaker and furniture designer, Mogensen believed that furniture should be functional, durable, and beautifully crafted for everyday life. His work is characterized by clean lines, honest materials, and exceptional attention to craftsmanship. Collaborating with some of Denmark's finest manufacturers, he created timeless pieces that remain highly sought after by collectors, architects, and design enthusiasts worldwide.
The Model 2204 Lounge Chair, designed by Børge Mogensen in 1963 for Fredericia, is an outstanding example of Danish modern craftsmanship and understated elegance. Featuring a solid wood frame paired with generously upholstered leather cushions, the chair offers exceptional comfort while maintaining a refined, architectural silhouette.
