A distinguished and rare mahogany library chair, conceived to combine durability, and practicality, and thoughtful design. With the generous proportions and supportive form associated with traditional library seating, it offers the presence and ease of a fixed interior chair while discreetly adapting for travel.

The button-tufted back pivots outward, allowing the backrest and arms to fold neatly forward onto the sprung seat. The legs are likewise hinged, collapsing flat beneath the frame once the locking rails that secure them are released. When fully assembled, aside from the subtle hinges at the front of the arms, there is little to suggest its portable design. In both construction and stability, it stands equal to any standard library chair of the period.
