Description
Model CH28, “Sawbuck” Danish lounge chairs designed by Hans Wegner and produced by Carl Hansen in Denmark, 1951. The chair features a simple and elegant design, with a distinctive X-shaped frame that gives it a modern, yet timeless, appearance. The chair's handcrafted construction of solid teak, with curved backrest and floating arms is characterized by traditional Scandinavian joinery techniques, which ensures it's durable and long-lasting form. The chair frames have been professionally restored in a natural oil finish, and the seats newly reupholstered in a fine black leather.
The Sawbuck Chair is widely regarded as one of Wegner's most iconic designs, and it has become a classic example of mid-century Danish design. It’s combination of simplicity, functionality, and elegance make it a popular choice for both residential and commercial settings.
