Description
Mid-Century “Sampsel” sofa designed in 1956 by Carl Malmsten for O.H. Sjoegren and produced by AB Record in Bollnas, Sweden. Newly upholstered in Sheepskin with a Beechwood frame.
Carl Malmsten was a Swedish furniture designer, architect, and educator with a lasting influence on Swedish design through the two schools which he founded, the Carl Malmsten furniture studies. In 1945, Malmsten was honored with an inaugural Prince Eugen Medal in Sweden. -
