This rustic three-seater bench dates from the 19th century and is either Haute-Savoie, Breton or Auvergnat. The patina on the monoxylite wood speaks to the great history of this 19th-century piece. The seat can be opened to reveal a storage compartment. With its remarkable patina, the design reminds us of the wabi-sabi philosophy which centres around the appreciation of the beauty of natural imperfection.
