Description
Elegant French armchair in steam-bent beechwood, produced circa the late 1940s to 1950s.
This piece is defined by its refined architectural silhouette and generous continuous curved arms, executed in beautifully shaped bent beech. The structure feels both light and sculptural, with balanced proportions typical of postwar French modernism, comfort-forward, yet very disciplined in its lines.
The chair has been newly upholstered in a luxurious bouclé fabric by Nobilis, selected for its soft texture and timeless, warm tone. The upholstery work was carried out in France to a high standard, with new foams, respecting the original geometry and proportions of the seat and backrest.
A versatile statement piece, equally suited to a curated modern interior, a collector’s space, or a refined hospitality project.
