Description
The Eames Soft Pad Management Chair is one of the most iconic office chair designs by Charles & Ray Eames, evolving from their celebrated Aluminum Group collection. According to design lore, the Soft Pad series was born when cushions from the Eames Chaise were casually draped over an Aluminum Group chair, an accidental pairing that inspired one of the most comfortable seating designs of the twentieth century.
Sharing the signature silhouette of the Aluminum Group, the Soft Pad Management Chair features a suspended leather sling supported by polished cast aluminum side rails, enhanced with three generously padded cushions that provide exceptional comfort while maintaining the chair’s refined, minimalist profile. This example is equipped with manual height adjustment and a tilt mechanism with adjustable tension control.
We have multiple chairs available. Each retains its original Espresso leather upholstery, a butter-soft deep brown, which pairs handsomely with their polished aluminum frames. All examples show very minor wear consistent with age and use. Please inquire for quantity and availability.
