Description
The Eames Executive Chair, or the Time Life Chair as we much prefer to call it, has always been our favorite Eames design. Originally created for the Time & Life Building in 1960, the chair has developed an unmistakable aura over the decades. Widely recognized for its historical significance, executive presence, and ingenious design, to us it is simply a storied icon that we seek out whenever the opportunity arises.
While the Time Life Chair is most often encountered in black or brown leather, and occasionally green, it is always a special sight to find one upholstered in a less familiar specification. We were immediately taken with this beautifully preserved, butter-soft original leather in a rich Bordeaux hue. The color shifts subtly with the light, revealing deep wine tones that warm toward brown, while the polished aluminum frame provides a striking contrast. It is, in our opinion, one of the most handsome combinations we've had the pleasure of offering.
This example remains in exceptional original condition with only minimal signs of age and use. It retains its original Bordeaux leather upholstery, polished aluminum frame, adjustable tilt mechanism, and manual height adjustment with approximately 3 inches of travel. -
