Description
Set of two La Fonda chairs designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller during the 1960s.
The designers set to work on this model in response to a request from their friend Alexander Girard, who needed seating for his new restaurant, La Fonda Del Sol, in New York City. Each piece comprises a fiberglass shell and has a solid cast aluminum base. Furthermore, they devised a new upholstery system for these chairs, with the exclusive Eames edge, made of solid rubber. These example arrive in the white and black finish.
