Charlotte Perriand Berger Stool, Modern Design, France, 1950s

$ 16,000
  • Description
    A beautiful example of Charlotte Perriand's Berger stool--her famous modernist interpretation of the classic tripod wood milking stool.

    This particular stool shows honest patina.

    These simple and elegant stools were produced in several different workshops in France in the 1950s and 1960s, most notably for Galerie Steph Simon and Robert Sentou. During this time they were produced in a large number using different species of wood, including (but not limited to) Ash, Mahogany, and oak. Generally there were made in three different sizes: low, medium and tall (about 27-28cm, 40-42cm, and 44-45cm).

    These Charlotte Perriand stools are always unsigned.
