Description
The FAO Sofa with its elegant and alluring curves renders this the ultimate seating choice for comfort and relaxation. Upholstered in Edson 005 Gris from Delcourt Textiles.
Paris-based Christophe Delcourt was born in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, France in 1966. He is a self-taught designer and interior architect known for handcrafted furniture and lighting that demonstrate a respect for the environment and a passion for French craft tradition. He launched his own furnishing company in the late 1990s and soon stood out with his pieces of furniture combining elegant lines and raw materials. Delcourt approaches each of his designs as potential lifelong investments and credits legends such as Jean Prouvé, Pierre Chareau, and Jean-Michel Frank as strong influences in his work. Delcourt’s designs have been exhibited at many prestigious art galleries and showrooms worldwide. In 1999, he won the Designer of the Year award from Maison & Objet.
Collection Particuliere was created in 2014 by Jérôme Aumont, presenting meaningful furniture and objects with bold, clean shapes. The primary materials are wood, marble, leather, brass and ceramic chosen for their character and ability to age with grace. Collection Particulière aims to be an immersion into “daily life objects, where every single piece of furniture and every object is considered to be a sculpture, a piece with a true statement. A piece that does not immediately show its true nature.”
Aumont has partnered with some of the leading names in European design. Among the talented collaborators are Christophe Delcourt, Grégoire de Lafforest, Dan Yeffet, Arno Declercq and Dessuant Bone.
