Early English or Scottish Turner's Chair
-
Description
Rare Elizabethan or Jacobean turned fruitwood and ash three legged chair, often referred to as a “thrown“ chair because all the parts are turned on a lathe (think thrown as on a potter's wheel) in this case with simple spindles with the exception of the tuilp or thistle turned arms and the rear stile and bolster turned back, the whole with a rich patina and in very good condition.
