Edward Wormley Style Pair of Sofas, 1945
Each sofa has a scalloped back with curved sides and a tight upholstered form, techniques and trademark of Wormley. The interior back features light button tufting. The seat consists of a single loose cushion with partial down fill.
Below the cushion line, the frame is built in two upholstered tiers: a narrow rounded band directly under the cushion, transitioning to a deeper continuous base that wraps the perimeter. The sofas rest on turned solid walnut bun feet.
Reupholstered in a Blue-Green- Mohair with new foam and rebuilt deck supports.
