Description
A very rare set of six dining chairs, the "Leggerissima" (ultralight) model, designed by Emanuele Rambaldi and manufactured by Figli di Sanguineti G.B.
Constructed from beech, this model features a frame weighing just 1.65 kg (with a total weight of 2.00 kg, including its drawn guinea cane seat). Presented at the IX Triennale in 1951, the same year Gio Ponti designed the Leggera chair and seven years before his Superleggera model.
Our chairs have undergone professional restoration and newly caning by the artisans in our in-house workshop. The caning process adheres to all ancient Chiavari techniques. Due to the structural function of the cane in these chairs, it enhances sturdiness and longevity while maintaining a super-light frame.
Dimensions: 41 x 40 x 89 cm [DxWxH]
Weight: 2.00 kg
Year: 1951
Condition: Excellent condition, restored and newly caned
