A C R O T E R I O N is pleased to offer this fine circa 1780 English George III period wingback armchair having antique age-and-use distressed dark green leather upholstery covering serpentine back and wings, outscrolled arms and tight seat, raised on moulded, tassel, scroll, and bead-and-reel carved mahogany square straight front legs and swept rear, joined by an H-stretcher and back rail all on original brass casters. An elegant, sturdy, and comfortable example with exquisite patination to timbers. Seat measures 20" deep by 18" wide.

Condition:	Distressed. Leather upholstery is likely 19th century, as opposed to being original, and is very distressed as shown with several brass studs missing, however it presents quite chicly and can be used and enjoyed as is.
