Antique English Pair of Chippendale Period Library/Gainsborough Chairs by Paul Saunders
England c.1750.
Extremely Rare Pair of English. Finely Carved Cuban Mahogany Gainsborough Chairs. Each Chair having the most Glorious Original Surface with Outstanding Patination and Colour. Of note is the high standard of professional carving, typical of the Paul Sanders workshop.
Provenance
Collection of Graham Watson 1908 -2002 Yorkshire - one time owner of the largest silk factory in the world (Manningham Mills) ... Notable for his impressive collection of Gillows Furniture. Purchased from Lumb and Co Antiques Harrogate Yorkshire (Supplier of many Chippendale Pieces to Museums and Collectors)
