Description
A beautiful set consisting of two foldable lounge chairs model TU-641 (Bonzo) and coffee table originally designed by Esko Pajamies together with Toivo Korhonen for the Yhteiskunnallinen Korkeakoulu in Tampere and featured in the Architectural magazine (see archive photo). Manufactured by Merivaara Oy in Finland in the 1960s. These are rare and even more rare in this chrome / rosewood combination.
The set is perfect for living rooms/lounge areas. The combination of rich rosewood and sleek chrome legs in these chairs creates a stunning visual contrast that elevates any interior space with a sense of luxury. We have seen these sort of chairs even in hotel/restaurant lounges in the Porvoo area of Finland.
Note* Due to strict regulations surrounding the trade of rosewood, this set can only be exported with special permits. We already have the permits for the EU, but Unfortunately we cannot get outside-EU permits from Finland, so outside EU buyers must investigate importing possibility or relevant permits in their country.
This limitation is in place to comply with environmental protections aimed at conserving rosewood species, which are endangered due to overharvesting. We appreciate your understanding and encourage interested buyers within the EU to explore this beautiful and sustainable furniture option.
On logistics we have very affordable rates in Europe, and now we are finally getting considerable discounts on our shipping across the Atlantic. -
