American Antique Barber chair by Eugene Berninghaus Co.
Offered for sale is an antique early 20th -century barber chair made by the Eugene Berninghaus Co.. Named to be the first barber chair manufacturer in the United States, the Eugene Berninghaus Company started its operation in 1875. The Ohio-based company was the most innovative and creative with its designs — paving the way for other barber chair manufacturers.
The chair appears to have been fully restored at one point and is in great vintage condition. The upholstery is in good condition but now shows some light fading. The chair rotates and reclines. This chair was manufactured earlier than-hydraulic chairs.
