Kilim fabric, characterized by its intricate geometric patterns, hails from a centuries-old tradition, originally woven by nomadic tribes in the Middle East and Asia. The word ‘Kilim’ refers to a pileless textile, created by one of many flat weaving techniques. It’s commonly made by interweaving the warps threads and weft threads on looms, using antique kilim techniques that have been passed down from generation to generation. Its enduring appeal thus lies in its captivating blend of heritage and aesthetics. The geometric pattern adds to the modern shape and highlights the outline. The balance of the materials, surfaces, and textures is striking, especially the pairing of the fabric and the simple oak base. The structure is completed by square legs that assure stability and also show off the beauty of oak.
