Description
A stroll through Paris will undoubtedly lead you to one of the city's most iconic pieces of furniture, the Luxembourg Chair. Originally designed and manufactured by the Paris parks department in the early 1900s and formally known as the Senat Chair, it has always been a cherished symbol of the city's many parks. In the early 2000s, the mission to redesign and reproduce this beloved chair was undertaken, with the renowned company Fermob spearheading the initiative. They entrusted French industrial designer Frédéric Sofia to create the ultimate design solution. The result is the Luxembourg Collection, from which we offer this exquisite pair of Luxembourg Low Lounge Chairs in Poppy Red.
There is nothing quite as Parisian as taking a leisurely break in the sunshine. Millions of people experience the delight of the Luxembourg Lounge Chair in parks such as the Jardin des Tuileries and, of course, its namesake, the Jardin du Luxembourg. Bringing this feeling into your own home is the ultimate luxury. Beyond the chair’s storied prominence, it is also the epitome of comfort.
This pair of Luxembourg Low Lounge Chairs is in their original condition. The aluminum frames are powder-coated in Poppy, a deep red that lends itself beautifully to a garden setting. They remain in perfect structural condition, with only cosmetic wear consistent with their age and history. - More Information

Message from Seller:
Stories exist in many forms, we see them in objects. The aesthetic of those before us is passed down through their surviving creations. These are the objects we search for; to preserve, refine, & continue the story. Object Refinery combines design obsession, fine craftsmanship, and a love for history in our worldwide search for objects. Based in Connecticut, USA; we partner with a network of local artisans to restore and refine our findings before passing them on to the next collector.
