Description
An unusual French Empire mahogany reclining wing back armchair of high proportions.
French, Circa 1820.
Of elegant proportions, having an unusually high reclining winged mahogany back. The stuff-over seat between padded armrest with reeding and foliate carvings to the fronts, raised on splayed legs united with an H-frame stretcher. Each arm having a metal ratcheted catch and a hinged back allowing this armchair to recline to various positions of comfort.
Newly upholstered in a wonderful velvet fabric with individual brass stud work.
A fine quality and stylish reclining armchair. -
