Gastone Rinaldi was born in Padua on 16 November 1920. His father, Mario, had founded RIMA, a business that made metal furniture, in 1916. Gastone enrolled in the Economics Faculty, although his interests included design and athletics (as a footballer, he went as far as playing with Cremona, at the time very strong, and as a racing car driver, he took part in the legendary Thousand Mile race).
Founded in 1912 by Renzo Frau, Poltrona Frau has established itself as a leader in luxury furnishings, captivating the hearts of discerning interior designers and architects who seek to infuse their projects with a touch of Italian sophistication and the finest artisanal quality.
