Description
The is a wonderful example of a late George III Wing Back Chair with neoclassical legs terminating in casters and supported by a central and side stretchers. The slightly arched back combined with the deep curved wings and outswept arms make this an elegant but cozy chair. The wing chair is upholstered in a buttery yellow damask, that remains in very serviceable condition. (We will reupholster the chair in the buyer's fabric at cost, if desired) The Wing Back remains in very good stable condition with the anticipated indications of use and normal patina. There is a small repair to one back leg; some screws are replaced on the cappings.
