Description
Slat platform bench designed by George Nelson for Heman Miller. The finger-jointed solid wood lattice surface rests on angular, ebonized legs, creating a light, architectural form. Minimal and versatile, the bench functions equally well as a low table or as seating. Example from the 1950s has the heft, tone, and precise joinery that distinguish it from later productions.
