Hans J. Wegner for Getama – Model GE6 Teak Daybed, Denmark, 1960
A classic Danish modern daybed designed by Hans J. Wegner for Getama, model GE6, crafted in teakwood with newly upholstered cushions with Great Plains "Franco" — a high-performance, stain-repellent textile composed of viscose, wool, cotton, polyester, and linen.
The backrest lifts to convert the piece from a sofa into a deeper sleeping surface. A hidden roll-out fabric cover is integrated into the frame to protect the seat cushion when used as a bed.

Sofa cushion: approx. 74" W × 24" D
Daybed depth with back lifted: approx. 29" D
Branded with the manufacturer’s mark to the underside: Getama Gedsted Danmark, Design: Hans J. Wegner.
Fully restored. All surfaces professionally sanded and refinished; teak wood replenished and sealed. All joints reglued for structural integrity. Webbing and foam fully replaced. Newly upholstered in Great Plains "Franco," a stain-repellent performance fabric. -
