    "English Late Georgian, Mahogany, Period Library Bergere Chair of a Certain Timber and Quality and Design Strongly Suggesting the Gillows of Lancaster Company"

    Being of a slightly unusual architectural design this points to a private commissioned piece ( a one off ) ......probably partly influenced using a design by Bullock - in mahogany rather than oak.

    Having generous proportions ....suitable for a largish body and indeed for an earnest Gillows enthusiast
