An elegant, stunning Italian Mid-Century Modern Sofa with modern neoclassical influences by Gio Ponti for Editions ISA, Bergamo, circa 1955. This sofa features a high back, wingback ears, a distinctive sculpted profile, refined sensuous lines and deep comfort. The piece has its original mohair velvet and needlework upholstery coverings and are ready to be recovered by your team or ours. Gio Ponti was the most important architect and designer in Italy from 1925 to 1970. His work covers residential and commercial buildings, furniture, lighting and objects. He founded the magazine, Domus and was instrumental in the founding of Fontana Arte. His work is highly collectable.
