Description
A good pair of George III elm hall chairs, each with a slightly dished waisted back, dish seat, and raised on scrolling front support, united by a stretcher to the rear. Examples of these chairs were produced in English furniture from at least 1730 continuously through to 1800 and take the inspiration from the Italian hall chairs of the Renaissance.
