Description
A study in restraint and proportion, this Brazilian Modern armchair from the 1960s reflects the quiet sophistication that defined the era. Crafted in richly figured Caviuna wood, the frame reveals beautifully balanced lines — fluid tapered legs, slender armrests, and a minimal back composed of four solid wood slats that create both rhythm and structural clarity.
The satin-matte Caviuna surface highlights natural grain movement and depth, with patina preserved to honor its age. The joinery is clean and precise, underscoring the quality of execution typical of high-level Brazilian production during the period.
Newly upholstered in a soft, textured mushroom brown bouclé, the loose seat and back cushions introduce a contemporary tactility while remaining respectful of the original silhouette. Generous in scale and exceptionally comfortable, the cushions enhance the architectural clarity of the frame rather than overpower it.
An elegant and versatile statement piece — equally compelling as a standalone accent or paired within a curated seating arrangement. -
