Description
Guillerme et Chambron “Grand Repos” Lounge Chair, France 1950s.
This Guillerme et Chambron ‘Grand Repos’ Lounge Chair displays a beautiful contrast between the light wooden oak frame and the elegant light fabric of the cushions. With a solid wooden frame, the support for the back is made with six wooden spindles extending upwards yet slightly curved, resulting in a rounded backrest. The cushions have been upholstered in premium bouclé fabric by Pierre Frey. The pillow for the backrest has been embellished with twenty-five tufted buttons on the front and back, as well as with loops encompassing the spindles that ensure the cushion stays in position. The bottom consists of a cushion framed by the curved wooden armrests which extend to the legs. -
