Description
A pair of very rare mid century lounge chairs designed for the 1st class foyer of the Italian Line ship the SS Augustus, 1952. The SS Augustus interiors and all furniture were designed by Gio Ponti and Gustavo Pulitzer Finali and were created only for the SS Augustus. This model was used in the Augustus' 1st class Foyer as well as the 1st class Belvedere Lounge. Well documented and extremely rare. They are newly upholstered in different fabrics. Gustavo Pulitzer Finali, Italy circa 1951.
