Description
A design icon by Hans J. Wegner, the PP225 Flag Halyard Chair was originally conceived in 1950 and remains one of the most distinctive expressions of Danish modernism. Departing from Wegner’s traditional woodwork, the design features a sculptural stainless steel frame with a handwoven flag halyard seat, creating a striking balance of industrial form and organic comfort.
This pair dates to the desirable 1980 reissue, produced true to the original specifications and Complete with sheepskin headrests. The model’s enduring popularity led to a further reissue in 2000, underscoring its lasting relevance and demand among collectors.
Early 1950s examples have achieved $45,000–$50,000 per chair at auction. Offered here as a pair for $29,500, presenting a compelling opportunity to acquire a timeless and investment-worthy design. -
