Pair of Rare Harvey Probber Polished Aluminum & Pink Leather Lounge Chairs 1970s
-
Description
Looking at the explosion of chromed steel framed chairs in the 1970s, Harvey Probber had a different vision. Rather than using heavy steel, he chose to use more expensive but lighter solid aluminum for the frames of these chairs. Polished to a shine, his choice in material provided an edge compared to his competitors in look and durability. This example is paired with light pink tufted leather cushions on the seat, back, and arms, creating a distinctive look that has more than stood the test of time.
Condition: Aluminum frames in great shape with no corrosion and minor scuffs. Leather stressed but perfectly usable. Great vintage and original condition.
Pictured with our Ward Bennett style I-beam drink stands.
