Easy Chair in Leather and Rosewood with Stool by Illum Wikkelsø, 1960s

This very rare easy chair with matching stool, model V11, was designed by Danish designer Illum Wikkelsø and produced by Holger Christiansen in Denmark during the 1960s. Both pieces feature solid rosewood frames that highlight the wood’s rich grain and deep tones, lending a warm and organic quality to the design. The original tan leather upholstery has developed a warm patina over time, displaying visible signs of age and wear that contribute to the material’s natural texture and softness, enhancing the vintage authenticity of the set.

The chair is defined by a high, slightly winged backrest that offers excellent support while maintaining an open and airy profile. It features a plush leather cushion that adds comfort and versatility, complementing the chair both functionally and aesthetically.
