Description
An Italian Rococo style tall back walnut armchair from the 19th century with scrolled open arms, cabriole legs on hoofed feet and upholstery. This Italian Rococo style armchair features a tall camel back, covered, along with the seat, with a sturdy cotton fabric. Two wooden open arms with scrolled knuckles adorned with acanthus leaf motifs flank the seat. Featuring a nicely scalloped shape on the skirt, this seat is raised on four cabriole legs whose curvy lines are highly reminiscent of the Rococo period. They are each carved on the knees with floral motifs and rest on hoofed feet. With its elegant, tall Silhouette, finely carved details and lovely patina, this Italian, 19th century armchair will bring a distinguished presence to any living room, bedroom or library. Note: Fabric is not in brand new condition. Some wear from use in showroom.
