Description
Jean Gillon for Italma, 'Amazonas' sofa, rosewood, dark brown cognac leather, Brazil, 1968.
This Amazonas sofa comes from the concept of the body being captured by the piece of furniture, which is constructed with rope that resembles a fishing net. These details, the rope but also the grand, comfortable use of leather cushion result in a sturdy, robust sofa with clear Brazilian references. Wonderful, fitting details are the rosewood pieces that are used as ends to keep the nets in place. -
