"Folding Chairs" originally designed by Jean Prouvé in 1930 for his sister Marianne Georges (8 of this version made with leather seats as a wedding gift), and re-editioned in 1983. These Tecta edition chairs feature handmade, "art brut" nickel plated steel frames utilizing Prouvé's "tube aplati" technique with two welded and folded pieces of metal, as per Prouvé's instructions and explanations for the collaboration. Each chair has an upholstered seat and back rest in black fabric. -
